I forgot... but I think in German, hamstra (or something like that) which was derived from hamster means "to hoard" b/c hamsters hoard food in their mouth. They can stuff so much stuff in there!
Wow, you have a lot of pets! The red eyes looks kind of scary.. I have interesting hamster facts in my nov 22 2003 entry. One of the cool things I found out (I'm a nerd): Hamster cheeks are like loose skin "pockets." They are used to transport food that cannot be stored right away. Their cheek pouches can hold up to 18 grams. When packed with food, a hamster's cheek pouch can extend beyond its shoulder blades.
